Compliance with Regulations for
Crew Health and Safety

The Maritime Labour Convention 2006 (MLC) serves as the international platform for the International Labour Organization (ILO) to establish and enforce employment and living condition standards for workers within the maritime industry.

These regulations encompass various aspects, including the provision of minimum standards for the quantity and quality of food, drinking water, and catering services for seafarers on ships bearing the flag of member states. This commitment is outlined in Standard A3.2 Food and Catering.

Guide to Ship Sanitation

Additionally, according to the "Guide to Ship Sanitation" (Third Edition) by the World Health Organization (WHO), ship operators play a critical role in ensuring the provision of safe and clean water fit for all purposes to both passengers and crew.

This involves monitoring the ship's water system for microbial and chemical indicators, reporting adverse findings in accordance with the International Health Regulations (IHR) 2005 when necessary, and taking corrective measures to maintain water safety standards.
