How do you install the VARIcryo?

Let us guide you step by step in the installation of your VARIcryo desuperheater.

Pre-Installation Check:

  • Inspect the desuperheater, actuator, and accessories for damage.
  • Verify the data plate and tag number match the order specifications.

Unpacking:

  • Use slings to lift the unit, avoiding the liquid inlet and actuator.
  • Keep flange coverings on until just before installation.

Installation Process:

  • Use standard-compliant gaskets and fasteners.
  • Insert the nozzle into the secondary pipe, ensuring it aligns with the process gas flow.
  • Avoid any external forces, tension, or torque during installation.

Positioning:

  • Ensure the spray cylinder aligns with the vapor line axis (±5 mm).
  • Adhere to the specified distances for tube length downstream (minimum 4.6 m) and between the desuperheater and temperature sensor (12-15 m).

Final Considerations:

  • Avoid bends in the downstream pipe to prevent erosion.
  • Install the temperature sensor in the top half of the pipe, ensuring no branches between the desuperheater and sensor.
