Camflex II combines the best features of the conventional globe valve with the rotary plug function. The result is a versatile control valve with a large turndown, which can be used for approx. 80% of existing regulatory tasks.
The heart of the Camflex valve is the double eccentric rotating plug, which rotates towards or away from the seat ring. The flexible plug ensures that there is close and full contact with the seat. With this technique, the friction is minimized when the valve opens and closes, unlike other rotary valve types, and you thus achieve precise regulation in all degrees of opening. At the same time, it means savings on both the procurement and maintenance budget.
The linear flow characteristic gives a turndown 100:1 on the CV value and thus a stable control over a large flow area. Most Globe valves can provide a maximum turndown of 50: 1.
Masoneilan Camflex II is easier to install and maintain thanks to its flexible construction. You can get the valve with many different connection options for example threaded, flangeless or flanges that match your pipe connection. Therefore, you can use Camflex for most tasks and thereby save money on spare parts and service. The flanged construction is also offered in Camflex GR configuration, which matches the dimension face to face on most standard valves, making it easy for you to replace your existing valves. Thereby, you save both time and money when you switch to a Camflex valve.
Regardless of the choice of connections, Camflex valves are smaller and lighter than globe valves - typically half the size and half the weight.
