FS290 is a Portable Clamp On Flow Meter for Leakage Detection, Control, and Verification Measurements of Liquids
The SITRANS FS290 is a portable clamp-on ultrasonic flow measurement system consisting of a FST090 transmitter and FSS200 clamp-on sensors. The transmitter is based on the same technology as the FST020 and FST030 but can be powered either by battery or mains power.
The flow meter is ideal for temporary use when a stationary flow meter has been removed for calibration or repair. It can also be used for control measurements of existing clamp-on sensors or in applications requiring precise liquid flow measurement.

Applications
The SITRANS FS290 is a portable ultrasonic flow meter used for temporary control measurements in water supply and disposal. It enables quick flow measurement in applications such as cooling water, hot water, and fire protection systems.

- Pipe wall thickness up to 50 mm
- Temperature range from -40 to +121 °C or -40 to +230 °C with high-temperature sensors
The SITRANS FS290 is not suitable for measuring flow on gas, steam, or inhomogeneous liquids.
