Inline flow switch for water and oil based media with transistor output
Flow Captor 4320.1x/xx and 4321.1x/xx
The flow captor 432x.1x/xx from Weber Sensors is inline flow switch models tailored for use in compact pipe diameters. These sensors operate based on the calorimetric measuring principle. Within the inline tube, the detection occurs, with the sensor gauging the flow velocity of the substance and translating it into an electrical signal.
The flow-captor type 4320.1x/xx serves as a flow monitor employed in automation processes and various industrial applications that require monitoring of liquid media. It is designed for use in small pipe sizes ranging from OD6 to OD28. Key features include a precise switching flow sensor with high accuracy, particularly effective at slower flows. The device allows for the independent adjustment of flow range and switching points.
Additionally, it offers an analogue display of the flow condition and the adjusted switch-point through an LED chain. The electronic functionality operates without any mechanically moved parts, ensuring reliability. The device boasts a robust industrial design with special potting, enhancing its durability. It adheres to ISO 9001:2015 standards, further emphasizing its commitment to quality.

The sensor tube (length 200 mm), is an integral part of the inline flow-captor. Crafted from stainless steel 316, it ensures durability. This series provides flexibility with sensor tubes available in various sizes, including:
The inline flow-captor's sensor element is externally affixed to the sensor tube, ensuring a non-intrusive interaction with the flow as there are no internal elements within the tube. The robust housing, made of glass fiber-reinforced PBTP (Ultradur®), provides durability. Additionally, the electronics housing features complete resin encapsulation.
For mechanical connection, cutting ring couplings to be ordered separately, have proven effective in sensor installation into pipe systems. These couplings, when tightened, utilize a v-shaped ring to cut into the sensor tube wall, ensuring a secure and reliable form closure.
The flow-captor type 4320.1x/xx is applicable for two different media:
Flow-captor 4320.1x/xx: is applicable for water-based media
Flow-captor 4321.1x/xx: is applicable for oil-based media
